“More prayer, more exercising of our faith, and more patient waiting leads to blessings — abundant blessings. I have found it to be true many hundreds of times, and therefore I continually say to myself, “Put your hope in God.” (George Muller)
Muller lived in the hope and expectation that God would answer his daily prayers. Those God-given answers provided for more than 10,000 orphans in his care throughout his life. Also those answers provided 117 Christian schools to educate more than 120,000 children.
Muller didn’t do fundraising for donations but instead did “prayer raising” for God’s provision, and the results met his needs and often abundantly. The same provision God offered Muller in 1800’s England can be attained by us if we pray with the same hope and faith as he did and trust in the same God Who hears us.
“This is the confidence which we have before Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.” (I John 5:14, 15)
I have hope to live my life even with its heartaches, problems, and pain.
Why? It’s because I have hope of a future life beyond this planet.
Where? I refer to heaven of course.
When? I don’t know, but it’s closer now than it’s ever been since I began my life on planet Earth. (In fact, the nearer my time of relocation gets, the more it appeals to me.)
How? There’s only one Way… through faith alone in Christ alone by His grace alone.
As you will discover, my blogs will often share a Christian worldview and with good reason. I am a heart transplant recipient (spiritually speaking)! I now possess a new heart and am a new creation redeemed by Christ and His completed work of salvation on the cross. Thank You, Jesus!
My aim in writing this blog is to promote hope for all who share our too often hopeless planet. I am extremely lacking in tech savviness to begin a blog but have an outstanding tech advisor who encouraged me to proceed. May each reader and fellow planet-dweller find that your life can be full of hope if you open your heart to receive it.
