RABBI LAPIN: HOPE IN A WARNING

Daniel Lapin, a Jewish rabbi, has voiced a warning to Americans. I think it is important to heed and important enough to post for readers of this blog. Because of its length I will post only his opening and closing paragraphs to spark your interest. I hope you will read it in its entirety.

PLEASE go to this site: https://www.catholiceducation.org/en/controversy/persecution/a-rabbi-s-warning-to-u-s-christians.html (for the complete message from Rabbi Lapin — a wise and discerning messenger in my humble yet strong opinion).

If his warning is heeded then I am hopeful for a better outcome than if it is ignored. Be open, read the complete warning, ponder the message, and determine its truth in light of world history and current circumstances.

(Opening paragraph:)

“During the 1930s, Winston Churchill desperately tried to persuade the English people and their government to see that Hitler meant to end their way of life. The British ignored Churchill, which gave Hitler nearly 10 years to build up his military forces. It wasn’t until Hitler actually drew blood that the British realized they had a war on their hands. It turned out to be a far longer and more destructive war than it needed to be had Churchill’s early warning been heeded.” (Rabbi Daniel Lapin)

(Closing paragraphs:)

“Without a vibrant and vital Christianity, America is doomed, and without America, the West is doomed.

Which is why I, an Orthodox Jewish rabbi, devoted to Jewish survival, the Torah and Israel am so terrified of American Christianity caving in.

Many of us Jews are ready to stand with you. But you must lead. You must replace your timidity with nerve and your diffidence with daring and determination. You are under attack. Now is the time to resist it.” (DL)

“Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction upon whom the ends of the ages have come.” (1 Corinthians 10:11)

MAX LUCADO: UNSHAKABLE HOPE

Do you ever feel like your world is shaky even to the point of toppling? Do you face problems that seem beyond your ability to cope? Is your pain more than you can bear? Are “difficult circumstances” an understatement when describing your life?

You may know you need hope but don’t know where to find it. Are you willing to truly seek unshakable hope? If so, continue reading….

“In his new book, UNSHAKABLE HOPE, Max Lucado unpacks 12 of the Bible’s most significant promises, equipping readers to overcome difficult circumstances by staying focused on the hope found in the promises of Scripture rather than dwelling on the problems in front of you. For every problem in life, God has given you a promise.” (Amazon.com)

After 40 years of ministry and more than 130 million books in print, America’s bestselling inspirational author, Max Lucado, has authored UNSHAKABLE HOPE. This New York Best Seller by one of my favorite authors is about living a life built on the promises of God that are found in Scriptures.

I guarantee that having this book on your shelf won’t change your life, but something awesome may happen if you apply God’s promises to your life. This book can help you learn and focus on hope of promises on which to build your life.

Will seriously reading it be worth your time and effort? What have you got to lose when you may turn from hopeless to hopeful? Seems like a no-brainer to me!

ANNIVERSARY: HOPEFUL for LOVE

Today’s blog is dedicated to my husband on our anniversary. You’re still the one! ♥

We began our marriage as two imperfect people with hope for a love that would last.  We’re still imperfect, we’re still hopeful for love that will last, and we’re both learning that the presence of the Author of marriage Himself is essential to a lasting (and happy) marriage.

Thankfully God’s unconditional love and amazing grace has made the difference to bless our marriage and allow it to last these past 31 years.

Here’s what the Bible says about love….

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres….

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

(I Corinthians 13: 4 – 7, 13)
